Randy Galgas joined the firm Perry Hay & Chu LLP, in 1985 as a staff accountant. At the time, he was a recent college graduate with two years of accounting experience in the construction industry. Randy was named partner in 1995 after creating and developing the firm’s technology services department, which he continues to grow to this day.
Ray Russell joined the firm as a partner in 2004. He brought 16 years of accounting and auditing expertise with him, including his experience as an accountant for Deloitte & Touche LLP, and as a partner in another Los Angeles based accounting firm.
The firm has continued to expand with the addition of new talent, bringing innovative ideas and advancements that have complimented the partners’ decades of professional experience and expertise. This expansion and modernization led to the evolution of a new era culminating in June 2013 with Galgas Russell LLP, a client service focused firm.
With the firm for over 28 years, Randy is in charge of Information and Technology and the head of our Aviation services. He created and currently directs the consulting department, providing technology assessments, accounting system integration and system security consulting. Randy is also the trusted accountant and business tax advisor for many closely held businesses, successfully helping several grow from start up companies to domestic and multinational industry leaders.
Ray is responsible for accounting and auditing, management advisory services, and income tax planning and compliance. With nearly 28 years of experience in public accounting, Ray consults clients regularly in starting businesses, growing already successful businesses, and buying or selling businesses in a wide range of industries. He is also licensed to practice public accounting in several states outside of California.
